A male Lazuli Bunting perches on a twisted branch covered in orange and light-green lichen. The bird and branches are brightly sunlit while the backdrop is shades of a dark stormy gray. Original oil painting on cradled wooden panel. Natural wood sides, depth 1-1/2".  Panel triple sealed with PVA size and four coats of gesso. Front and sides finished  with Rublev Conservar Finishing Varnish.
