Biography

Carly Ellis is an artist originally from Maryland and currently based in Spokane, Washington. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a minor in Art History from Eastern Washington University and was an Artist-in-Residence at The Hive. While primarily working in oil paint, Ellis enjoys exploring a range of media, including photography, sculpture, and design. Always eager to take on new creative challenges, Ellis recently completed two large-scale mural projects in Spokane, bringing her vision into public spaces. Her work explores themes of nature, family, nostalgia, loss, and place. Through her practice, she seeks to create meaningful connections that invite viewers to reflect on their own memories, experiences, and relationships to the world around them.
