Biography

Born in Los Angeles, California, Eric is the youngest of seven children. His father immigrated from Cuba at 17 and his mother immigrated from Mexico at 12. His position within the family and being a first generation American greatly shaped his outlook of himself and society. Growing up he  was involved  in soccer, skateboarding and  music. Visual art  slowly came to the forefront of his interest  along with playing in bands when he moved to San Francisco for college to study history, and later earned a masters degree in Special Education. It's during this time that drawing, painting, and collage became his primary interest of self expression. Along with creating art, Eric is a teacher, husband and  father of two girls. His work has been shown in galleries in Portland, Oregon and Spokane, Washington.
