Kimber Follevaag
Biography
Kimber Follevaag is a contemporary textile artist based in Spokane, Washington, know for her innovative approach to fiber art. Specializing in the intricate wrapping and weaving of yarn around wooden, aluminum and wire frames, Kimber creates one-of-a-kind abstract pieces that explore color, texture and form. Her work stands out for its unconventional techniques and modern sensibility blending midcentury aesthetics with a contemporary flair. Drawing inspiration from her background of 17 years in ballet and modern dance she brings rhythm and fluidity to her practice and creates art work that merges simple yet dynamic compositions that push the boundaries of fiber art. Kimber has exhibited her work in numerous notable venues including: Jacklin Arts Center (2013), Terrain Event (2013-2025), Emerge (2014, 2016, 2022), Studio 107 (2014), Blackwell Gallery (2015), Rally Spokane (2017), Bazaar (2015), Terrain Gallery (2018), Chase Gallery (2023), Spokane International Airport (2022), Mayor's Awards in the Arts Show (2016), Marburger Farm International Antique Show (2023-2025) and was featured on KSPS Northwest profiles (2026).
